After a month of rumours, speculation and negotiation the January transfer window is over done and with for the Premier League. Chelsea ended the month having closed the biggest deal in their £50million-plus capture of Christian Pulisic, though the Borussia Dortmund forward will stay in Germany for the rest of the 2018/19 season. Gonzalo Higuain also joined the Blues on loan from Juventus for the rest of the campaign while Michy Batshuayi left Stamford Bridge for Crystal Palace in dramatic scenes during the final hours of business. Elsewhere, it was a relatively quiet window for Arsenal and the wider competition with Unai Emery and his recruitment team limited to loan deals due to financial strains at the Emirates Stadium.
