Garth Crooks has slammed David Luiz after his performance in the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur - claiming he has no intention of getting hurt this season. Chelsea lost their first game of the season at Wembley Stadium as Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min all hit the back of the net as Spurs ran riot against their west London rivals. Olivier Giroud hit back late on for his side but the damage was already done by then, and BBC pundit Crooks didn't let up on what he though of David Luiz' performances this season in his Team of the Week column. He claimed that the Brazilian has 'no intention of getting hurt' for his side this season and that if that is the case, he has no right to be on the pitch and that Andreas Christensen should be demanding he starts the next league game against Fulham. Crooks said: "Meanwhile David Luiz - who on his day can be one of the best defenders in the world - is having one of those seasons where he has no intention of getting hurt. "If Andreas Christensen has anything about him the Danish international will be knocking on Maurizio Sarri's door demanding he starts the next game instead of the Brazilian. "If a defender isn't prepared to get hurt he has no right to be on a football field." Crooks also didn't let up on Jorginho, who has been outstanding so far for the Blues but was shackled by a dominant Dele Alli at Wembley, claiming the Italian's performance was 'pedestrian'. He added: "The way Son breezed past Jorginho to score a goal his performance richly deserved made the Chelsea midfielder look pedestrian." The criticism for both is harsh perhaps, with Chelsea still 4th in the Premier League table having lost just once in the league under Sarri.
