We almost cancelled due to a forecast of high winds, but our love of fishing kept us driving forward 😉 We got bounced around in some very rough waves, but with Walleye Pete’s experience and skills, we still pulled some fish! Each was in the medium to medium-heavy class of spinning outfits, using (I think) roughly 15-20lb braid with a short ~3’ mono leader. Lures: 2oz to 3oz plain lead jigheads, with 6” – 10” BKDs and soft plastics. Presentation: I had success casting slightly upstream into current, then allowing the bait to fall on a tight line until I felt contact with the bottom. After reaching the bottom, you want to jig the lure between 10” – 15” off the bottom in short, sharp pops to trigger the strikes. BKD Lures: http://www.bkdlures.com/store/c1/Feat...
