This short film explores the Piscataqua Region watershed beginning at the headwaters, following the rivers and streams, flowing all the way to our estuaries and the coast. The Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership kicked off the 2018 State of Our Estuaries Conference with a showing of the film. Partners from around the Seacoast gathered on December 8 in Portsmouth, NH for a day of learning and sharing. Participants learned about each of the 23 indicators of water quality and estuarine health including new baseline data from our three social indicators: housing permit approvals, stormwater management effort, and stewardship behavior. But most importantly the conference showcased how communities like Exeter, Portsmouth, and Kittery are managing growing pressures, and how community members are stewarding our beautiful region.
